What walls in Brampton usually need
Brampton's housing is mostly 1980s to 2010s subdivisions, brick on the front and often siding on the sides and back, plus older streets around downtown and a lot of custom rebuilds. Stucco here is usually about a full front or a whole house made modern, and about new builds in the north of the city.
- Bramalea, Heart Lake and Springdale
1970s to 2000s houses in brick. Full stucco over brick on the front elevation is the most common request.
- Castlemore and the Gore
Large custom homes and rebuilds, usually in smooth stucco with stone, mouldings and columns.
- Downtown and the older streets
Pre-war houses around Queen and Main. Repairs, resurfacing and careful work on older walls.
- Mount Pleasant and new subdivisions
New builds and additions for builders and owners, priced from drawings.

Permits, access and weather in Brampton
Many Brampton owners do the front elevation in stucco and leave the sides in brick or siding. We detail the corners so the change of material sheds water.
Brampton's building division decides case by case whether recladding needs a permit. Adding insulation usually does. We advise at the visit.
For new houses and additions we price from drawings and schedule with the other trades.

What our customers say
Brampton stucco questions
Can you do only the front of my house?
Yes. It is the most common Brampton job. Corners and the junction with the side cladding are detailed to stay dry.
Can you add columns and mouldings?
Yes. EPS columns, surrounds, bands and keystones are meshed into the wall and finished with it.
Do I need a permit for stucco?
Replacing a finish like for like usually does not need a building permit. Adding insulation board to an existing wall changes the assembly and some municipalities want a permit for that, and heritage districts need approval for exterior changes. We tell you what applies to your house at the site visit.
Do you work with builders in Brampton?
Yes. See new construction for what to send us for a price.
Is the work insured and warrantied?
Yes. Stucco & Co carries $5 million liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and every job comes with a one-year warranty on our work.
