Residential stucco for houses across the GTA
A new stucco or EIFS exterior for a house, an addition or a custom build, installed by the same crew from the first board to the finish coat. We help you choose the texture and colour, then put it on properly, with every window and joint sealed, so it looks right and stays dry for decades.

A full system, not a coat of stucco
Modern residential stucco is a layered system. Skip a layer and the wall fails early. Here is what goes on your house.
- Prepare the wall
Sheathing checked, a weather barrier where the system calls for it, and flashings set so water that reaches the wall can get out.
- Insulation board
EPS board fixed to the wall adds insulation outside the studs, which is why an EIFS house is warmer and quieter than the same house in siding.
- Base coat and mesh
A polymer-modified base coat with fibreglass mesh embedded in it. This is the strength of the wall. Corners that take knocks get extra mesh.
- Details and mouldings
Window sills, bands, quoins and cornices in EPS go on before the finish so everything is one skin. See architectural mouldings.
- Finish coat
Trowelled on in the texture and colour you picked from the samples we bring. The colour runs through it, so it never needs painting.
Where stucco earns its keep, and where we say no
The easiest case. Stucco goes straight onto new sheathing and the details are designed in from the start.
Stucco over brick or over old siding works well when the wall behind is sound. We check that at the site visit before we quote.
Stucco pairs with manufactured stone, wood accents and dark window frames. Most of the houses in our gallery are mixes.
Below grade, against a wall that is wet, or over a problem that has not been fixed. We will tell you what has to happen first.
What you get for the money
Stucco is energy-efficient, fire-resistant, low maintenance, rot-resistant and quiet. On a house it adds a layer of insulation outside the studs, which cuts heating and cooling costs, and it gives the exterior a clean, continuous surface that siding and brick cannot.
The first application is quick, so the house is not wrapped in scaffold for weeks. When you want a new look years from now, a recoat in a new colour is a fraction of the cost of a new exterior.
We carry several textures and many colours, and we bring samples to the site visit so you can hold them against the house in daylight. Every house in our gallery was finished by our own crews, with the systems we trust from manufacturers such as Durabond, Sto, Dryvit, Adex and Senergy.
What moves the number on a house
Every job is quoted after we see the wall. These are the things that move the number.
- Wall area and height
Measured at the site visit. A two-storey house with gables costs more per square foot than a bungalow because of access.
- What is on the wall now
New sheathing is the simplest. Brick, old stucco or siding each need their own preparation.
- Windows and details
Every opening is a joint to flash and seal. Bands, sills and mouldings add material and time.
- Texture and colour
Most finishes are the same price. A few specialty finishes and very dark colours cost more.
- Season and access
Tight lots, pools and landscaping to protect, and late-season work all affect scheduling and the quote.

What our customers say
Residential stucco questions
How long does a stucco exterior take on a house?
Most houses take two to four weeks from scaffold up to scaffold down, depending on size and details. We give you a start date and a schedule with the quote.
Does EIFS trap moisture?
Not when it is installed properly. Problems come from missing caulking and flashing that let water in behind the system. We seal every window, joint and penetration, which is where most failures we are called to repair began.
Can I pick any colour?
Yes. Finish coats come in a full colour range and we can match most paint chips. Very dark colours on sun-facing walls are discussed at the visit, since they run hotter.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Stucco & Co works only with its own crews, on every job, whatever the size. Michael is on site and Lars handles your quote.
Is the work insured and warrantied?
Yes. Stucco & Co carries $5 million liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and every job comes with a one-year warranty on our work.
